What Can You Expect to Find in Eureka Pawn Shops?

Eureka Trading Co. MonetteThe Hollywood perception of pawn shops has not always been favorable, and it has hardly ever been accurate. Often portrayed as dark and a bit noire, bulletproof glass and slimy owners are the staple of movie pawn shop scenes. But what’s the reality?

While some pawn shops may still look that way in metropolitan areas, you won’t find that when you go to Eureka pawn shops. Eureka Trading Company has the benefit of being on 4th and D streets in Eureka with big windows that allow plenty of light into the store. You won’t find any bulletproof glass shields here either — we have a low counter displaying our diamond and gold jewelry, as well as wooden counters that provide some privacy for customers when we complete transactions for purchases, sales or loans.

We also have a friendly staff that is knowledgeable about the items we keep in stock and can serve both English and Spanish-speaking customers. While our inventory varies throughout the year, we always have musical instruments including guitars and classical instruments, gold jewelry, diamond jewelry, DVDs and digital cameras. We often have tools in stock, as well as high quality knife sets, outdoor equipment, guitar amps, and a variety of collectibles you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.

Jewelry stores, Eureka and elsewhere, typically only sell what is new and currently being mass produced, but there are plenty of eclectic and vintage options at pawn shops. We see some of the most interesting and beautiful jewelry, and we get new pieces in often.

Our Humboldt pawn shop also occasionally carries hats, generators, metal detectors and other unique items. If you are looking for something specific, give us a call at 707-443-2000 and we can let you know if we have it in stock. Some of our rarest finds make their way into our eBay store, so you can take a look at our top quality finds from home or come in to take a look yourself.
